Antes demais, “Hope do Die” ainda só existe em versão inglesa pelo que é dessa versão que vou dar a minha opinião. Absolutamente genial. Julgo que a Cara Hunter fecha com chave de ouro e começa o interregno da saga Adam Fawley com qualidade e acima de tudo uma incrível capacidade de quereremos ler mais e que definitivamente o Adam e equipa voltem depressa. E quem sabe a Daisy Mason? Fica a dica no ar.
Bom este livro é mesmo em vários pontos dos mesmo vários murros no estômago. Até porque retrata de forma nua e crua a justiça (ou injustiça) e os seus erros gravíssimos assim como o despreendimento total maternal, de forma que até a uma pessoa como eu que não sou mãe nem quero ser me custa sentir.
Um suposto assalto que corre mal a uma habitação com dois idosos, em que um deles alveja o suposto assaltante torna-se num apanágio de desgraça familiar, vergonha alheia e muito regresso ao passado indesejado e incrivelmente cruel. Um caso antigo, triste, cruel, e ainda em curso vem ao de cima e a equipa de Fawley vê-se a braços com vários dilemas e decisões difíceis.
São também apresentadas novas personagens integradas na equipa de Fawley, sendo que temos duas baixas, uma de peso, outra nem por isso e sentimos que estes novos membros vieram trazer sangue novo a esta equipa.
Adam e Alex rejubilam com os frutos da maternidade a paternidade e sente-se efetivamente que o abanão que sentimos na relação deles em livros anteriores foi completamente sanado.
Eu AMEI o livro, irei comprar a edição em português quando sair (se for traduzido pela querida Cláudia) e só posso recomendar mesmo a leitura em inglês porque vale todos os segundos de olhos postos nestas páginas.

First of all, “Hope do Die” still only exists in English version, so it is about this version that I will give my opinion. Absolutely Great. I think that Cara Hunter closes with a great ending and begins the interregnum of the Adam Fawley saga with quality and above all an incredible ability that we will want to read more and that Adam and the team will definitely come back soon. And maybe Daisy Mason? The tip stays in the air.
Well this book gave me several punches in the stomach. Even because it portrays justice (or injustice) from the police and courts and life itself and its very serious mistakes as well as the total maternal detachment, so that even a person like me who is not a mother nor do I want to be find it difficult to feel bad about it.
A supposed robbery that goes wrong in a house with two elderly people, in which one of them targets and kills the alleged robber, becomes a hallmark of family disgrace, shame and a lot of return to the unwanted and incredibly cruel past. An old, sad, cruel, and still ongoing case comes to light and Fawley’s team is faced with several dilemmas and difficult decisions.
New characters integrated in Fawley’s team are also presented, and we have two casualties, one heavy, the other not so and we feel that these new members have brought new blood to this team.
Adam and Alex rejoice in the fruits of motherhood and fatherhood, and it really feels like the shake-up we felt in their relationship in previous books has been completely healed.
I LOVED the book, I will buy the Portuguese edition when it comes out (if it is translated by dear Cláudia) and I can only recommend reading it in English because it is worth every second of eyes on these pages.
We want more Cara Hunter!
